Job summary

Charlotte Medical Clinic is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position in Charlotte, NC. The role includes patient preparation, basic nursing procedures, and assistance with physician-led services.

Responsibilities span vital signs, sample collection, immunizations, IV therapy under orders, patient education and care coordination. LPN licensure and BLS are required or obtained within 45 days. Workweek is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state where you practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days (must be obtained unless exempt).
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists provider with procedures and surgeries (e.g., pelvic exams, allergy testing).
• Administers medications under orders, including IV therapy as allowed.
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatments and self-care. Schedules tests and referrals as needed.
• Communicates with physicians and other health-care team members about patient status.
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision (e.g., sutures removal, catheterization, EKG, spirometry).
• Prepares exam rooms and labs, stocks supplies, and maintains equipment.
