Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Wisconsin Onalaska seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing lab results under physician guidance.

You will work with the Center Manager and Center Physician, uphold regulatory standards, participate in safety programs, and contribute to a patient-focused team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license current in state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical/hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and education.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Provide center-level support and follow guidance from Center Physician and Medical Affairs.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

LPN or LVN license

CPR and AED certification

Basic IV therapy eligibility

FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training

Two years clinical or hospital experience
