The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct clinical care in the Sobering and Deflection Center, serving individuals experiencing acute intoxication, substance-related impairment, or behavioral health crises. Under the supervision the Medical Director, the LPN performs medical screening, clinical observation, CLIA-waived testing, and administration of approved comfort medications to ensure participant safety and stabilization.
The LPN supports diversion from emergency departments and the criminal justice system by delivering care grounded in trauma-informed practice and person-centered service delivery, consistent with OHA Sobering and Deflection Center program standards.
