Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team in Tampa, FL.

The role supports RN or Provider in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while operating within licensure scope and across clinical and administrative teams. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, assisting with patient education, documenting in the EHR, and participating in care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Active and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Provider.
• Assist with patient and family education.
• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Participate in team meetings and care coordination discussions.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with policy.
• Assist in emergency situations as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including physical and gynecological exams.
• Collect and document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Perform in-house lab tests and screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) per protocol.
• Supervise and support Medical Assistants during clinical procedures.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
• Follow infection control protocols and assist with staff training on equipment.
• Provide float coverage to other centers as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Maintain required CEUs and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Support TFHC’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
