Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team in Tampa, FL. This role supports RN or Provider-led care, delivers patient-centered nursing, and collaborates across clinical and administrative teams.

The LPN will provide direct patient care, participate in care planning, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR while maintaining OSHA/HIPAA compliance and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Active and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Provider.
• Assist with patient and family education.
• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with policy.
• Assist in emergency situations as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including physical and gynecological exams.
• Collect and document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Perform in-house lab tests and screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) per protocol.
• Supervise and support Medical Assistants during clinical procedures.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
• Follow infection control protocols and assist with staff training on equipment.
• Provide float coverage to other centers as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Maintain required CEUs and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Support TFHC’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
