Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Tampa, FL. The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or Provider, supporting planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within licensure scope.

This role requires direct patient care, education, care planning, and coordination with clinical and administrative teams. First-week on-site training may require up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Florida (FL).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, individualized nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Provider.
  • Assist with patient and family education.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and care coordination discussions.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with policy.
  • Assist in emergency situations as needed.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including physical and gynecological exams.
  • Collect and document patient information accurately in the EHR.
  • Perform in-house lab tests and screenings per protocol.
  • Supervise and support Medical Assistants during clinical procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
  • Follow infection control protocols and assist with staff training on equipment.
  • Provide float coverage to other centers as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Maintain required CEUs and pursue ongoing professional development.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider and is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

The LPN will work within the scope of their licensure while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Maintain required CEUs and pursue ongoing professional development

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Florida

Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employee’s assigned work location.
