Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide delegated patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role emphasizes quality patient service, collaboration with the health care team, and adherence to facility policies.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia LPN license, has BLS CPR, and preferably two years of nursing experience. The position is on-site with standard hospital hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license in Virginia.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated nursing interventions under RN supervision.
• Notify supervising RN of changes in patient condition.
• Provide reinforcement of education to patient and family; discharge instructions.
• May not provide initial patient education.
• Administer medications per policy and delegated plan.
• Document data collected, medications administered, and nursing care.
• Collaborate with RN and health care team to adjust care plans.
• Maintain Competency Notebook and participate in educational programs.
• Interact with patients and families to ensure quality care.
• Follow unit and nursing department policies.
• Maintain ongoing education/licensure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
