Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide delegated nursing tasks within their scope of practice, under the guidance of RNs and physicians. You will participate in patient care, documentation, and education.

The role requires an active LPN license, and BLS certification with possible ACLS and IV certification per unit. The position is on-site with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice.
• BLS-HCP certification upon hire or within 60 days with prior approval.
• ACLS is required if applicable to unit.
• IV certification as required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and check-in process and patient orientation.
• Prepares and administers medications within scope and assists with activities of daily living.
• Obtains and tracks specimens and documents patient care and care plans.
• Communicates with supervising RNs/physicians regarding patient care and changes in condition; educates patients.
• Follows standards, ensures compliant documentation, and participates in quality improvement; mentors staff as needed.
