Job summary

Intermountain Health in Colorado is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, hybrid position. The nurse will perform delegated tasks, prepare medications, assist with ADLs, and support patient education under supervision.

Requirements include an active LPN license, BLS-HCP certification (or within 60 days), ACLS if applicable, and possible IV certification. Prior clinic/hospital experience is preferred, with RN progression within four years in certain departments.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of practice.
• BLS-HCP certification either on hire or within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS certification if applicable to unit.
• IV certification as required by facility.
• One year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting preferred.
• Completion of in-house education and competency sign-off within three months of hire.
• LPNs in certain departments must enroll and complete RN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides delegated nursing tasks within their scope of practice.
• Prepares and administers medications within scope.
• Assists with activities of daily living and prepares patients for interventions.
• Obtains and tracks specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Documents patient care and updates care plans accurately.
• Communicates with supervisory RN or physicians about patient care and changes.
• Participates in patient education and quality improvement initiatives.
