Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide delegated nursing tasks and participate in patient care within their scope of practice. The role includes medication preparation and administration, specimen collection, and accurate documentation to support care plans.

The LPN will communicate with supervising RNs and physicians, participate in patient education, and may mentor other staff.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification on hire or within 60 days of hire.
• Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification if applicable to unit.
• IV certification may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated nursing tasks under supervision of RNs or physicians.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope of practice.
• Obtain and track specimens for laboratory analysis and document care plans.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to supervising staff.
• Engage in patient education about health status and treatment.
• Mentor or train other staff as needed.
