Job summary

Sherwood Urgent Care in Batesville, AR is seeking dedicated LPNs to join our team. Responsibilities include greeting patients, charting, administering medications, collecting samples, and supporting physicians during exams.

We offer a rotating 36–40 hour per week schedule (12-hour shifts, every other weekend) with PRN opportunities. Licensed Practical Nurse with state licensure and hospital/clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for examination or procedure; record health history and note abnormal conditions.
• Assist with supplies and equipment; aid physician during examination and testing.
• Give injections and administer medications as directed by physician; monitor patient response.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and records; forward as appropriate.
• Schedule tests and coordinate referrals; obtain pre-authorization when directed.
• Collect, document and deliver lab specimens and results.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-ups.
• Prepare and restock exam/treatment rooms; adhere to infection-control policies.
• Educate patients and families on medications and discharge instructions.
• Assist provider with physical exams and preparation for physicals.
• Coordinate with pharmacy for prescriptions; manage inventory of medications.
• Triaging calls and guiding patient flow to ensure department efficiency.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies inventory.
