Job summary

Senior Community Care of North Carolina is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Med Room at the PACE clinic with a Monday–Friday schedule 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and on-call rotation. Pay ranges from $29.00 to $35.50 per hour, with full benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Practical Nurses License (L.P.N.)
• CPR certification required
• A minimum of one year’s experience with frail or elderly population
• Must have valid driver’s license and transportation
• Immunizations up to date for direct participant contact

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Participates in planning and executes interventions per care plan.
• Provides education to participants and caregivers about plan of care and treatments.
• Communicates participant changes to the interdisciplinary team and primary care givers
