Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indiana is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care across shifts. This full-time role supports the nursing process, collaborates with the healthcare team, and helps patients meet care goals.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with every 3rd weekend and holidays on rotation; orientation required. 1–2 years experience preferred; active LPN license in Indiana or NLC, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Active LPN license in Indiana or an active NLC LPN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required; other life support may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess and meet patient needs.
• Accepts delegated nursing measures for which the nurse is prepared and licensed to perform.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions toward goal achievement.

Position Details

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.

• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Successful completion of orientation required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
