Optalis Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Nursing Supervisor responsible for overseeing nursing care on the assigned shift. The role protects resident rights and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while managing resources and applying the nursing process.

The position requires an active RN or LPN license in Michigan and prior supervisory experience in long-term care, with duties including scheduling, discipline, and coordinating staff and resident needs.

Qualifications

• Graduated of accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. Must have no restrictions of license.
• Prior experience in long term care in a supervisory capacity is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assumes responsibility for nursing care of all residents on assigned shift.
• Protects and promotes resident rights.
• Manages facility in accord with facility philosophy, in compliance with standards of professional nursing practice, and with all State and Federal rules and regulations.
• Utilizes resources in an efficient manner.
• Utilizes the nursing process in assessing emergent and non-emergent resident/visitor situations.
• In the absence of other nursing management is responsible for discipline, scheduling, supply appropriation, complaint reports and assisting nursing staff as required.
