Job summary

Ridgecrest Post Acute in Phoenix seeks an experienced nurse leader to provide direct nursing care oversight and supervision of day-to-day activities performed by nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as facility policies, while guiding staff to deliver high-quality resident care.

The role involves directing daily nursing operations, maintaining manuals, coordinating shifts, and ensuring accurate charting and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures established by the facility.
• Review department policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions; recommend revisions.
• Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff compliance.
• Complete and report on shift activities and cooperate with other resident services for coordinated care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Supervise nursing personnel, develop work assignments, and provide leadership on the unit/shift.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental staff to meet resident needs.
• Ensure documentation in resident medical records is accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and infection control procedures.
