Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, administer medications per orders, and monitor residents’ health. You will document in MAR/TAR in real time and ensure Six Rights compliance while reporting any reactions or refusals.

Prior senior care or medication administration experience is preferred. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, ongoing observation of residents, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly
• Conduct SHUs (Service & Health Updates)
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards
