LPN: Medication Dispensing & Treatment Support

Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a detail oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to dispense prescribed medications as part of our treatment team. In partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors, you will manage dispensing equipment and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with regulations.

Ideal candidates will have NM LPN license, CPR certification, and experience with substance use disorder treatment. Per diem coverage is expected to support our outpatient program.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico with current good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in chemical dependency preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols, including Methadone and Suboxone
• Use automated dispensing system, calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment
• Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations
• Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulations
• Order, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power of Attorney)
• Provide daily assessment of patients
• Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
