Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Illinois is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to dispense prescribed medications as part of the treatment team. You will work with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors to maintain dispensing equipment, inventory, and patient treatment records.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois LPN license, CPR certification, and demonstrates a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to individuals in substance abuse treatment.

Qualifications

• Current & good standing LPN license in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification required.
• EMR software proficiency desired.
• Experience in chemical dependency preferred; positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily medication to patients per program policy and medical protocols.
• Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps and maintain dispensing equipment.
• Produce and maintain records and reports per company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure security standards for distribution and storage of controlled substances per CFR.
• Order, receive and stock medication per DEA/state regulations (if POA).
• Provide daily assessment of patients.
