Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Family Medicine team in Cartersville, GA. The role entails rooming patients, performing basic labs, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and coordinating care under physician supervision.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a day schedule from 7am to 4pm. Must have LPN licensure and BLS certification, and prior EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state where practice is required.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with patients and staff.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and navigating electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms patients for exams; records vital signs and health information.
• Performs basic lab procedures and specimen collection.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administers medications under orders, including vaccines and IV therapy within scope.
• Ensures accurate documentation and communication with the care team.
