Job summary

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent). BLS certification is expected within 45 days; no prior experience is required, with opportunities for growth in a large health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military clinical training per DD214.
• Wake Forest division: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or EMT training.
• Floyd & Navicent division: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable MA experience.
• IL/WI divisions: BLS certification (AHA) required; competency assessment may be required.
• Wake Forest: BLS certification required; various certifications may be required within 1 year depending on area.
• Experience: No Experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and clinic policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, medication reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
