Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in River Forest, IL seeks an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, safely administering medications, monitoring health status, and documenting accurately in MAR/TAR. You will follow the Six Rights and support care plan updates within a compliant clinical environment.

The role emphasizes prevention of medication errors, timely reporting of changes, and ensuring resident safety through precise clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.

Pay Range:

29.25 - 39.05
