Job summary

Alabama Clinical Schools, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) for our Birmingham location. You will direct patient care, monitor behaviors, and collaborate with the care team to intervene therapeutically. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• One year psychiatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alabama.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Background check and ABI/FBI fingerprints required.

Responsibilities

• Direct physical management of patients and monitor changes; intervene therapeutically.
• Guide non-professional nursing staff and communicate changes to appropriate staff.
• Assist staffing process for nursing issues and review staffing schedules for overtime.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and report to RNs.
