Job summary

Alabama Clinical Schools, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) for our Birmingham location. You will direct patient care, monitor behaviors, and collaborate with the care team to intervene therapeutically. Current Alabama LPN licensure and CPR certification are required, plus background checks and ABI/FBI fingerprints.

Qualifications

Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. This position is for our Besssemer Group Home location. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. LPN (PRN)

The LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification. Collaborates with members of other disciplines. Observes patient behavior for changes in order to intervene therapeutically, guide non-professional nursing staff, communicate changes to appropriate staff, and record changes. Assists with the staffing process for nursing issues. Assists with reviewing all the staffing schedule and informing managers of potential overtime issues then assists managers in making necessary changes as directed by the Registered Nurse.
