Job summary

Laukoa is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide clinical support for NY Army National Guard medical readiness. Work is primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays at various sites throughout New York; part-time as needed.

Responsibilities include medical record review, documentation, and preparation of Service Member records for PHA providers. Required NY licensure, BLS, and experience with medical records review.

Qualifications

• Active NY LPN/LVN license and BLS CPR certification.

• Ability to pass background checks and access requirements.
• Able to work across multiple NY locations, including installations.

Responsibilities

• Support PHA events for NYARNG Service Members.

• Prepare medical records for PHA provider review.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Assist with height, weight, and BP screenings as needed.
• Complete required training and contractual requirements.

SUMMARY

Laukoa is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses LPNs Licensed Vocational Nurses LVNs to fill our clinical support positions located throughout the State of New York in support of medical readiness services for the New York Army National Guard NYARNG Work is primarily on weekends with some occasional weekdays at varying sites throughout New York All work is a part time as needed basis LPNsLVNs will provide clinical support focused on medical record review medical readiness documentation and preparation of Service Member records for PHA providers Hourly Pay 2925 Plus additional 509 per hour and Travel Expenses

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Periodic Health Assessment PHA events for NYARNG Service MembersConduct pre provider review of Service Member health records medical readiness documentation and PHASRP packetsReview available Individual Medical Readiness IMR laboratory immunization cardiovascular risk and other supporting medical information for completenessIdentify missing incomplete or relevant medical information requiring provider review or follow upPrepare and organize medical records and documentation for review by the PHA providerSupport accurate documentation of medical findings on the SF600 MEDPROS MWDE and other military approved systems as assignedAssist with height weight and blood pressure screening and documentation as neededSafeguard all Service Member information by keeping written and verbal communications confidential and discreetEnsure all actions comply with HIPAA and other applicable federal and state requirementsComplete required training and follow applicable contractual requirements stipulated by the client and Laukoa

QUALIFICATIONS

Current active unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN or Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN in the State of New YorkCurrent Basic Life Support BLS CPR certification requiredGraduate of an accredited practical nursing programExperience reviewing medical records and clinical documentationAbility to identify missing or incomplete medical information and elevate clinical concerns to the appropriate providerAdaptable to fast paced environments with large volumes of Service Members seen dailyAble to work at various locations throughout New York State including military installationsMust be able to successfully pass required background checks and meet installation access requirementsAbility to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speedMust be collaborative and solutions orientedExcellent customer service skills and experience interacting with diverse populationsExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and SharePointExperience working in a military setting and working knowledge of Individual Medical Readiness IMR preferredExperience with MEDPROS MWDE MODS or MEDCHART preferredPrevious Government Common Access Card CAC access preferred
