Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to monitor resident health, support medication oversight, and uphold clinical quality across our community.

The ideal candidate will hold an active LPN license, be a graduate of an approved nursing program, and have 1+ year of experience in senior care or a clinical setting. Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct move-in, 3-day, semi-annual, and change-of-condition assessments
• Perform monthly wellness visits and monitor health trends
• Follow up on falls, incidents, and hospital returns
• Transcribe physician orders and ensure accurate MAR/TAR documentation
• Complete medication audits and oversee medication compliance
• Partner with families, physicians, and the Resident Care Director
• Support infection control and regulatory standards
• Educate and guide care staff on documentation and medication practices
