Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated Long Term Care Nurse to work in a facility on the site of a hospital in Hawaii. The role includes patient assessments, medications, ADL support, and notifying medical staff of changes.

You will admit and discharge patients and perform specialized care such as G-tube and tracheostomy care. Flexible scheduling with weekends and holidays; benefits include health coverage, onboarding support, clinical assistance, a 401k plan with match, and travel/housing

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license appropriate to practice in Hawaii.
• Proof of flu vaccination required before contract start.
• Health clearance appointment before start date.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Long Term Care Nurse to work in a long-term care facility located on the site of a hospital. The nurse will perform essential tasks including assessments, treatments, medication administration, and patient notifications to medical professionals. Responsibilities also encompass admitting and discharging patients, providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), and specialized care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments and implementing treatment plans.
• Administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
• Informing medical personnel of any pertinent patient information.
• Managing the admitting and discharging processes of patients.
• Providing ADL assistance and ensuring patient comfort.
• Performing Gastrostomy Tube care, Urinary Catheter care, Nebulized Treatment, Wound Vac care, CPAP care, and Tracheostomy Care.
• Completing all other assigned duties as required.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility, with varied shifts including weekends and holidays. There is no guarantee of hours or shift preference, so candidates must be adaptable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid nursing license appropriate to practice in the state.
• Proof of flu vaccination is required prior to the contract start date.
• Capability to arrive for health clearance appointment on the Thursday before the start date.
