Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shifts in a long-term care setting in New York. You will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for adult and geriatric residents under RN supervision, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

The position requires NY LPN licensure, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of LPN experience in LTC; weekend night coverage is included as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• New York LPN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI accepted).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN, preferably in a Long-Term Care facility.

Responsibilities

• Collect and communicate ongoing physical and psychosocial condition data of residents to the RN and interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to creating developmentally age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans.
• Recommend revisions to care plans based on resident outcomes and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practices and participate in staff mentoring and orientation.
• Ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and positive impact in care delivery.

Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Nights

Schedule

This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours of work per week with 2 eight-hour shifts one week and 3 eight-hour shifts the following week. Every other weekend on Friday and Saturday nights is required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents. The individual will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
