Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an LPN for a 13-week assignment in Alaska, Monday to Friday. The nurse will provide quality care across patient ages, support clinic operations, and assist with after-hours tasks as needed. Travel and housing considerations may apply.

The ideal candidate is an Alaska-licensed LPN, with CPR/BCLS and preferred IV and crisis intervention credentials, ready to join a collaborative nursing team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program and Alaska license in good standing.
• New graduates welcome; one year hospital experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification (BCLS) required.
• IV certification course preferred.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to work in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients while respecting rights and dignity.
• Collaborate with Health Aides and ensure proper stocking of patient care areas.
• Assist in ordering medical supplies as needed.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide quality nursing care to all patients while serving as an integral member of the nursing staff. The candidate will respect patient rights and dignity, ensuring all patients receive appropriate care from birth to elderly. Responsibilities will vary depending on assigned areas and may include working in conjunction with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and check-lists are completed, as well as assisting in ordering medical supplies. The LPN may be requested to screen calls over the phone and assist mid-level practitioners in the clinic after hours.
