Good Samaritan Albion is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The LPN works under supervision of a RN/physician to implement care plans and ensure safety and comfort.

The role requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program with an unencumbered LPN license. Experience with IV therapy may be needed in some positions, and continuing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If IV therapy is required, specify applicable training and licensure as per state requirements.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN licensure with the state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure.
• Completes required CEU and competency training for the department and facility.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain health, safety and comfort of residents and monitor changes in condition.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and communicate effectively with residents and families.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure

Associates degree in practical nursing (preferred)
