Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our home health team on a part-time basis. The role focuses on providing compassionate, in-home nursing care to patients in the United States, helping them heal where they feel most comfortable.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify changes promptly.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
