Amedisys is hiring a licensed practical nurse to provide hands-on, in-home patient care on a full-time daytime schedule. You will verify plans of care with the RN, collaborate with physicians, and perform nursing tasks in patients’ homes with one-on-one care.

Training pays hourly and transitions to per-visit pay, plus mileage reimbursement. Benefits include paid time off, health plan options, HSA, wellness rewards, and a company-match 401(k).

Competenze

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license valid in assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license with insurance.

Mansioni

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs; notify changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.

• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are being met; Notify them as soon as possible when patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
