Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Oak Hill, TN seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT must evaluate and treat independently, hold a state license, and be passionate about improving residents' respiratory well-being.

The role includes bedside treatments, managing oxygen therapy, CPAP/BIPAP, tracheostomy care, and participating in IDT meetings. Prior LTC experience is preferred; eligibility for COARC-accredited programs is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Provide oxygen therapy management and airway clearance interventions.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
