Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The RT must hold state licensure and a COARC-accredited respiratory degree, with the ability to evaluate and treat patients independently and perform varied respiratory therapies.

The role includes completing assessments, initiating therapies, documenting care, and attending IDT meetings, with experience in tracheotomy and long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and participate in in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
• Described in policy: oxygen weaning, airway management, CPT, CPAP/BIPAP and related respiratory interventions.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
