Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT should be licensed in the state, capable of independent assessment and treatment, and enthusiastic about geriatric care to improve residents’ experience.

Responsibilities include performing bedside respiratory therapies, documenting care, and participating in IDT meetings. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care is preferred, with adherence to facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing. BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols; track, audit and manage caseload.
• Participate in respiratory interventions: oxygen weaning, aerosol therapy, IPPB, chest physiotherapy, CPAP/BIPAP, high-flow oxygen.

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
