Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Nolensville, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will perform assessments, initiate therapies, and manage respiratory care for geriatric residents, with emphasis on independence and adherence to facility protocols.

Candidates must have a COARC accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and be licensed as RRT or CRT in the state; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program with licensure.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Conduct in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Track, audit and manage caseloads.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Oxygen weaning therapy, Group respiratory therapy, Airway clearance/management.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description
