Job summary

Raintree Village is seeking a dedicated LPN to join our senior living team in Lincoln, NE. The LPN Charge Nurse plans, organizes, and assists in providing direct and indirect resident care following established nursing practices.

You will orient and supervise staff, perform rounds, ensure safety, and communicate with physicians. The role requires English proficiency and basic math skills. We offer competitive wages and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse license required or in good standing.
• Experience providing direct and indirect resident care helpful.
• Ability to supervise other staff and coordinate care teams.

Responsibilities

Shifts

In general we offer 4, 8 and 12 hour shifts for our RN and LPN positions. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! The LPN Charge Nurse plans, organizes, and assists in providing direct and indirect resident care following established policies and procedures, standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care. Orients, instructs and supervises personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement interventions for resident care based on standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care, in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements.
• Make daily rounds to see all residents to ascertain condition and comfort.
• Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection.
• Assist DON and/or RN with developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care to include, but not be limited to, recognition of spiritual, emotional, psychosocial, and functional factors.
• Encourage and assist with restorative care in self-care and group activities.
• Monitor nursing personnel compliance with nursing policies and procedures and competency of clinical skills, evaluating nursing staff job performance with direction from DON.
• Communicate with the Physician as indicated by resident needs or status and assure follow-through; maintain hand-off communications with oncoming shift regarding resident care needs.
• Oversees direct care staff and ensures staff complete tasks and cares as assigned.
• Speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Ability to apply principles of basic general math.
