Responsibilities

• Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents.
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is being properly administered and to evaluate their status.
• Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
• Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, dressings, samples, etc., per policy.
• Completing all required LPN record-keeping forms and filing them in the resident chart.
• Giving and receiving nursing reports at shift change.
• Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Presenting a professional image to residents and families.
• Adhering to policies and standards.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Your responsibilities will include:

• 1. Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
• 2. Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• 3. Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.
• 4. Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
• 5. Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
• 6. Administering professional services such as: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility’s policies and procedures.
• 7. Completing all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident’s chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.
• 8. Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• 9. Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• 10. Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• 11. Adhering to our policies and standards.
