Recover-Care Heartland is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide exceptional patient care for our residents in Kansas. You will join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, with support designed to promote professional growth and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Enhance clinical care and residents' quality of life while protecting rights
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician
• Check residents daily to ensure treatments are properly given and assess status
• Keep RN Supervisor informed about residents and staff matters
• Implement changes directed by RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
• Perform professional nursing tasks per policy (catheterization, feeding, wound care, etc.)
• Complete LPN documentation for admissions, discharges and transfers
• Handover nursing reports during shift changes
• Investigate complaints and file reports as needed
• Present professionally to residents and families

Qualifications & Details:

To qualify for the position, you will need:

1. Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.

2. Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.

3. Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.

4. Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.

5. Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.

6. Administering professional services such as: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility's policies and procedures.

7. Completing all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident's chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.

8. Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.

9. Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.

10. Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.

11. Adhering to our policies and standards.
