Job summary

Laurelwood Health Care Center in Jackson, TN is seeking a dedicated Day Shift Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality resident care and support to the care team.

You will supervise CNAs, assist with admissions and discharges, administer medications per physician orders, and contribute to care plan development while maintaining patient confidentiality and a compassionate bedside manner.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted LPN License for the state of Tennessee.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of CNAs and ensure policies are followed by nursing personnel.
• Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required.
• Assess residents' conditions, prepare and administer medications per physician orders.
• Initiate, review, and update care plans.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the nurse supervisor and communicate factors affecting performance.
• Perform other duties assigned by clinical or administrative leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.

Nurse (LPN) Position Summary

As a Nurse at Laurelwood Health Care, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Direct the daily activities of the CNAs and ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel.

• Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required.

• Assess resident’s conditions, prepare, and administer medications per physician orders.

• Initiate, review, and update care plans.

• Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse supervisor and keep them informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform work as assigned.

• Perform other assigned duties given by clinical or administrative leadership.

• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Day Shift Nurse (LPN) Requirements

• Current unrestricted LPN License for the state of Tennessee

• Current CPR/BLS Certification
