Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct nursing care on the Sub-Acute Rehab unit (5th floor). The role emphasizes supervision of day-to-day nursing activities to ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards and to maintain the highest quality of care.

Requirements include an active Nursing Degree or LPN program, current CPR certification, and prior long-term care or geriatric experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state.
• Current CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, treatment and services within scope of license and applicable laws.

• Direct day-to-day nursing functions and supervise staff to maintain quality care.
• Ensure proper staffing, staffing plans and adherence to safety policies.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary.
• Maintain accurate charting and document care provided.
