Job summary

OhioHealth’s Obstetrics Unit 1 is seeking an LPN to train as a Labor & Delivery LPN and scrub technician. You’ll scrub in for cesarean sections and provide nursing care to patients and families across the health-illness continuum.

Prior inpatient LPN experience or OR knowledge preferred; shift is variable, with every other weekend and 2 of 6 holidays rotated; schedule may be mostly night shift, discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
• National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) license requirements
• Must hold a current license from the State of Ohio (specialized knowledge)
• Ohio Board of Nursing approved medication course
• BLS Provider

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing health assessments and document data.
• Document planned nursing interventions and care plans.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans with the healthcare team.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel per criteria and statutes.
• Participate in process improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safe, efficient care while managing resources.
