Job summary

Summa Health System Akron Campus is seeking an experienced LPN for the Labor & Delivery Unit (H2). This full-time role is 36 hours per week, with a 7:00 pm–7:30 am schedule.

The LPN will assist in nursing care, coordinate resources, and communicate with the RN and care team for care planning. Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program and Ohio Board of Nursing IV therapy/med administration authorization where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a LPN nursing program from an accredited school.
• Authorized by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing to perform intravenous therapy procedures and administer medicines if required by specific area/department.
• LPNs in wound care do not need IV certification, only MEDS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing and coordinating nursing care under RN supervision.
• Communicate with RN and care team to assist with clinical planning and patient care.
• Support labor & delivery unit operations and manage resources as directed by the care team.
