Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct care to assigned patients, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse. You will supervise ancillary nursing staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, an active LPN license in the state of practice, and BLS certification. IV therapy credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria for all ages served.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members and co-workers to ensure a quality patient experience.
• Adapt to rapid changes in the unit/department throughout the day.
• Maintain personal professional development and required clinical knowledge and credentials.
