Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will coordinate with the healthcare team, perform assessments, and support the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred - IV therapy credentials.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process in delivering patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation.
• Provides care based on patient age groups, safety and related criteria.
• Communicates with patients, families and coworkers to ensure quality patient experience.
• Adapts to unit/department changes and manages personal professional development.
• Maintains required clinical knowledge, skills, training, and credentials.
• Performs other related duties as required.
