Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Lutheran General Residency - Internal Medicine: Residency program. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a 9:00am–5:30pm schedule and rare Saturday mornings.

You will prepare patients, perform basic labs, assist with procedures, administer medications, maintain rooms and document in EMR, while meeting licensure and BLS requirements. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administers medications under physician orders and manages IV therapy within scope.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and accurate EMR documentation.
