The position involves med administration, IV monitoring where certified, documentation in EMR, and promoting safe, quality care standards for residents in a skilled care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active state license.
• CPR certification is required.
• Gerontological nursing experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within licensure and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to define individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor IV fluids as ordered.
• May initiate IV therapy if IV-certified.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and maintain records.
