Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shifts (3x12). You will work under an RN, contribute to patient assessments, administer medications, and support care planning in the Behavioral Health Services unit.

Applicants must hold an active NC LPN license, BLS, Handle With Care certification within 30 days, and have at least 1 year of Behavioral Health experience.

Qualifications

• Active NC LPN license
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Handle With Care certification within 30 days of hire
• At least 1 year Behavioral Health experience
• Must work well under pressure and with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in patient assessment and data collection
• Document nursing observations
• Contribute to development and maintenance of the nursing care plan
• Administer medications and therapies per scope of practice
• Coordinate patient care and transfers with staff
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care
• Set up and maintain equipment and work area
