The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to support physicians in delivering quality patient care. You will room patients, take vitals, document in the EMR, administer injections and assist with minor procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, coordinating care plans, triaging calls, and ensuring a safe clinical environment in compliance with OSHA and UMA guidelines.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed as an LPN in SC or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mansioni

• Calibrates and maintains clinical equipment per OSHA/DHEC/UMA.
• Maintains and reviews patient records and charts.
• Documents test and exam results.
• Communicates plan of care and patient education materials.
• Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness of patient care environment.
• Manages patient flow and scheduling referrals based on urgency.
• Screens patients and provides education.
• Observes and reports patient condition and reactions to medications.
• Triages phone calls.
• Calls in orders as ordered by physician.
• Instructs patient regarding treatment/medication.
• Administers prescribed treatments and tests.
