Job summary

C003 University Medical Associates (UMA) seeks an LPN to deliver quality nursing care under physician direction in a dynamic MUSC Health system environment. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, triaging calls, educating patients, and supporting scheduling and referrals.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program, SC or compact-state LPN licensure, and six months of patient care experience for LPN II. BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
• Six (6) months of patient care experience (LPN II) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider.
• Maintain and review patient records, charts and pertinent information.
• Screen patients for information and provide patient education as appropriate.
• Triage phone calls and respond to patient needs.
• Administer prescribed treatments and tests as ordered by the physician.
