Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Richmond, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes. Starting pay range is $30 - $32.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience and skill level.

The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications, and coordinate care with physicians. Maxim offers health/dental/vision, HSA and life insurance, PTO, a 401(k) plan, and awards programs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate as required by contract/regulations.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care provided in home care settings.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient status changes.
• Performs therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions per diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and communicates with physicians or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; monitors outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
